This IMILAB A1 1296P PTZ 360 degrees Smart Camera comes from IMILAB, one of the Xiaomi Ecochain Enterprises. This model is the Global Version which comes with English User Manual and the audio cue of the device is in English. It is equipped with a 3-megapixel camera that can shoot 1296P high-definition video. It uses WDR technology, which allows the screen to retain more details even if it is backlit. Equipped with 940nm infrared light system, it has good visibility in the dark at a distance with high sharpness compared to other types of camera in the market.

This smart Xiaomi camera is also equipped with artificial intelligence that can intelligently analyse and detect movements, avoiding false alarms. In addition, the two-way conversation feature has also been significantly upgraded so that two-party communication is more stable and smooth. This camera supports horizontal 360 degrees and vertical tilt 100 degrees movements which can be controlled from the companion Mi Home app. The camera will notify you on the app when motion is detected. The camera can also be configured as a shared device so that other authorised persons can view the camera remotely.

The IMILAB A1 camera has 3 modes of recording video footages. The first is to save a 10s footage to Mi Cloud storage whenever the alarm is triggered. Its bank-level encryption ensures your data is kept safe. This mode is useful in case the camera with the microSD card is stolen. The 7-day rolling cloud storage is free. The records are retained for 7 days before they are overriden. Paid subscriptions for longer retention periods are available through the Mi Home app

The second way is to save the recording directly to MicroSD card at the camera continuously and overriding old records when full. It can have a maximum capacity of up to 256GB. The benefit of using local storage is that the video recordings are not lost when there is an internet interruption. The third way is to store the recording continuously on a Network Attached Storage (NAS). The benefit of using NAS is that the storage capacity can be very large. You can view or archive the 3 types of recordings from your Mi Home app on your phone or desktop PC.
