This IMILAB EC5 Outdoor Smart Camera comes from IMILAB, one of the Xiaomi Ecochain Enterprises. This model is the Global Version which comes with English User Manual and audio cue. It has some amazing features, including wide viewing angle, high quality image, intelligent human recognition and tracking, alarm and strong stable signal.

The IMILAB EC5 has a built-in smart floodlight for outdoor use. Rated IP66 water-resistant, the body is reliably protected from dust and water and can be used under conditions of rain or snow. The dual antenna design brings further wireless transmission distance and good wall-through performance. This camera can work both from a permanent connection using a RJ 45 LAN cable, as well as using a wireless Wi-Fi connection (only 2.4GHz).

Under low light conditions, this FULL HD camera uses infrared vision, and the picture remains clear and in color. Thanks to special algorithms, this camera is able to detect and track human body accurately and start recording instantly while minimising false positives caused by pets, insects or birds. The camera can rotate 350° horizontally and 100° vertically, providing a greater area of coverage. You can designate certain sensitive areas to detect movements. It will notify you and turn on the floodlight when motion is detected. At the same time it can also be set to trigger a very loud siren automatically or maually from the companion Mi Home App. The floodlight is also turned on upon switching to night vision until sunrise.

A built-in microphone and speaker allow two-way communication, for example, with a postman from your phone app. As for storage of recordings, there are 2 modes. The first way is to save the record directly to MicroSD card continuously and overriding old records when full. It can have a maximum capacity of up to 256 GB. The second is to save the record to cloud storage. It stores a 10-second event recording on it in case of intrusion detection. This service is free and lasts 7 days before old records are overriden. The camera can also be shared with others using the Mi Home App.
