This global version smart IMILAB C21 IP camera is manufactured by IMILAB, one of the Xiaomi ecochain enterprises. It is a good budget intelligent camera, ideal for home use based on the Imilab Home app. The IMILAB C20 supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant though at the moment, such devices and voice language are limited to certain countries. Apart from your phone, you can also manage and view video recordings on desktop PC using the IMILAB PC App.

The IMILAB C20 has 360-degree vision, motion detection, video calls, and advanced AI technology for accurate real-time detection. It is equipped with a 4.0MP CMOS sensor, supports HD 1440P video recording and two-way audio for live viewing. There is also an advanced starlight night vision function using infrared illumination, sensors for detecting and tracking human movement. If strange sounds occur (for example, a crash, breakdown, or a crying baby), the camera can be configured to notify the user by pushing an alert notification together with a photo with timestamp of the event to his mobile phone. To view the video of the event, you need to retrieve it from the MicroSD card recording.

For video storage, there are 2 modes of recording video footages which can be retrieved from the phone app. The first way is to save the recording directly to MicroSD card at the camera continuously in one-minute clips and overriding old records when full. It can have a maximum capacity of up to 64GB. The benefit of using local storage is that the video recordings are not lost when there is an internet interruption.

The second way is to save the continuous one-minute footages to Imilab Cloud storage hosted by AWS, a very reliable cloud service available in 190 countries. This mode is useful in case the camera with the microSD card is stolen. A 7-day rolling cloud storage is free for the first 3 months. Thereafter it is chargeable at USD 1.99 per month (subject to change). The records are retained for 7 days before they are overriden. Paid subscriptions for longer retention periods are available through the Imilab Home app.
