This new Xiaomi Redmi A1 is an entry-level ultra-budget model of the Redmi family of budget smartphones. Redmi is a sub-brand of Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi Inc. Developed for the international market, this phone is powered by an entry-level MediaTek Helio A22 chipset with 2GB RAM and 32GB of eMMC 5.1 of internal storage. It has a large 5000mAh battery with a 10W fast wired charger. The phone runs on the basic Android 12 Go Edition, a toned-down version of Android 12 loaded with essential Go Edition apps.
This phone comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD display which provides 720 x 1600 pixels resolution with 20:9 aspect ratio. The rear camera consists of an 8MP primary and the front-facing camera has a 5MP wide sensor.
The Redmi A1 supports Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) and expandable memory with a dedicated MiroSD card slot (max 1TB). The device has a micro-USB port at the bottom alongside a 3.5mm headphone jack and a speaker grille.
