This IMILAB EC3 Outdoor Smart Camera comes from IMILAB, one of the Xiaomi Ecochain Enterprises. This model is the Global Version which comes with English User Manual and audio cue. It has some amazing features, including wide viewing angle, high quality image, intelligent human recognition, alarm and strong stable signal.

The IMILAB EC3 can be used both indoors and outdoors. Rated IP66 water-resistant, the body is reliably protected from dust and water and can be used under conditions of rain or snow. The dual antenna design brings further wireless transmission distance and good wall-through performance. This camera can work both from a permanent connection using a cable, as well as using a wireless Wi-Fi connection. It can also function as a WiFi extender. You can even use the camera as WiFi Hotspot to extend the WiFi signal.

This IMILAB EC3 camera is an updated version with resolution 2304 x1296 pixels and local storage of 256GB. Under low light conditions, this FULL HD camera uses infrared vision, and the picture remains clear and in color. Thanks to special algorithms, this camera is able to detect human body accurately and start recording instantly while minimising false positives caused by pets, insects or birds. The camera can rotate 270°, providing a greater area of coverage. You can designate certain sensitive areas to detect movements. It will notify you when motion is detected. At the same time it can also be set to trigger a very loud siren automatically or maually from your companion Mi Home app. A built-in microphone and speaker allow two-way communication, for example, with a postman from your phone app.

IMILAB EC3 has 2 modes of recording video footages. The first is to save a 10s footage to Mi Cloud storage whenever the alarm is triggered. Its bank-level encryption ensures your data is kept safe. This mode is useful in case the camera with the microSD card is stolen. The 7-day rolling cloud storage is free. The records are retained for 7 days before they are overriden. Paid subscriptions for longer retention periods are available through the Mi Home app.

The second way is to save the recording directly to MicroSD card at the camera continuously and overriding old records when full. It can have a maximum capacity of up to 256GB. The benefit of using local storage is that the video recordings are not lost when there is an internet interruption. Please note that mains input voltage for this camera is 220V and may not convenient to use in countries with 110V.
