The Xiaomi Mi Smart Home Hub Version 3 is a multi-mode gateway from Mijia, one of the Xiaomi ecochain enterprises. It is the control centre or “brain” of the smart home and is the most important component of the smart home architecture. As the name suggests, it is Xiaomi’s third generation upgraded multi-mode gateway with support for Zigbee 3.0, Bluetooth, Bluetooth mesh and WiFi communication protocols. Thanks to support for Zigbee 3.0 protocol, the gateway is now able to work with most of the smart home devices on the market.

This Mi Smart Home Hub 3 gateway supports Apple HomeKit, in addition to supporting more ZigBee child devices. The gateway supports child devices of the Xiaomi / Mijia / Aqara brand. The gateway can be connected to 32 different child devices, like lighting, air conditioning, air purifiers, vacuum cleaners, cameras, locks, doorbells, thermometers and watches. Besides using phone apps, linked smart devices can also be controlled using Xiaomi’s Voice Assistant Xiao Ai (Mandarin commands) as well as Apple’s Siri (multiple language commands).

App Connection:

1. Download the Mi Home APP on the Play or APP Store.
2. Create a Mi account then sign in. Turn on phone Bluetooth.
3. Power up your Mi Smart Home Hub.
4. Click the '+' sign. Go to Household and Security. Search for and add the "Xiaomi Gateway Hub 3".
5. After adding successfully, pair other smart devices according to the App prompt.
